Restaurant Venue | Goederust

Our venue can accommodate up to 80 guests for breakfast, lunch & dinner with space for dancing. A Bedouin tent can be attached to the veranda for up to 120 guests or can be used for a dance floor, dinner canapés or simply as a relaxing lounge area.

Venue Hire - Weddings
Starting from R100 p/p for 40 guests or more. For less than 40 guests a venue hire of R150 p/p will be charged. Venue hire is inclusive of the following:
• Standard rectangular or round tables & chairs
• White chair covers
• Standard white napkins & table cloths
• Standard glassware
• Standard crockery & cutlery
• Staff & waiters until midnight
• Setup & break down
• Gift & cake table
• Bar facilities

Venue Hire - Functions
Starting from R50 p/p for 40 guests or more. For less than 40 guests a venue hire of R100 p/p will be charged.

Optional Extra - Outdoor Chapel
An idyllic setting for a wedding ceremony is a gazebo in the garden. An additional fee starting from R450 is payable if the wedding ceremony takes place on the premises. Keep in mind this would be an open-air ceremony, weather permitting. Alternatively ceremonies are held in the Bedouin tent which can be rented at an additional fee.

Décor & Flowers
Any additional décor, additional lighting & flowers are for your own account. Delivery of all décor items should take place between 15:00 - 17:00 on the day before your function. All items must be collected by10:00 the day after your function. Decorating the venue (florists, etc.) may occur throughout the day by prior arrangement.

Bar
A fully licensed bar is available. Corkage will be charged at R30 per 750ml bottle. Wine & sparkling wine only. All other beverages are supplied by Goederust.

Menu Suggestions
We appreciate that this is a special event & therefore will gladly design a menu to suit your requirements. Please confirm all meals 14 days before your function. Also please note that prices are subject to change. Set menus & buffet menus are available.

A 10% service charge will be added to the combined food & drinks bill. We require the food bill to be settled before the function & the drinks bill on the day of the function.

Accommodation - Functions
We have 2 spacious rooms, accommodating 2 persons sharing in each room. Each room has a TV, fridge, tea & coffee, lounge area, air conditioning & its own unique décor & style.

The rate is R450 p/p sharing including breakfast at our restaurant. Check in is after 14:00. An additional fee of R450 will be charged if you would like to check in before 14:00.

Post wedding breakfast is also available at our restaurant.

Bookings
Final numbers must be confirmed 1 week before your function & this will be the minimum amount charged to your account.

We will hold your booking on a provisional basis for 7 days. Provisional bookings will be released without notification should you fail to confirm.

A deposit of starting from R2500 is required when making a booking & is non-refundable should the booking be cancelled. The deposit will secure the date you have chosen and will be deducted from your final account.

The total anticipated costs of the function must be paid in full, 1 week prior to the date of your function. (This includes the venue hire & menu price). All items must be settled in full upon departure.

Please Note:
• DJ's may play until 00:00 & the bar closes at 23:45.
• Brunch functions must be concluded by 16:00.
Therearefter, a fee of R750 p/hr will be levied.

All prices are inclusive of VAT at 14% & are based on estimates which may be revised should your expected numbers change or should market related food & beverage prices fluctuate.

The venue is hired at your own risk and Goederust will not be held liable for any losses or damages which occur before, during or after your function.
